What Colorado Springs drivers say

“Our interaction with Carefree Windshield Repair started with Justin over the phone at 8:30 AM. He was amazing, patient, and did everything he could to assist my family in getting our window replaced. He was not only happy to schedule us, but also managed to order the window we needed and get us in by 11 AM. (This is something I’ve never seen repair shops do—order a part and have it delivered to them in 2 hours!) When 11 AM came around, this team was efficient, professional, and personable. They do what they do with expertise, and want you to be 100% happy before leaving their establishment. They managed to remove our window in one piece, with no glass getting into our car. They understood that this car transports two kids and prioritized our need for safety. They were the best price we found, and absolutely amazing people! We will definitely use them again if this happens to us again!! If you want a shop that treats you like a person, and not just another dollar sign, do not second guess them, do not question where you should go. If you found this company and are reading this review, CALL THEM NOW!!!”
“From the outside, you would think this is just a regular auto shop place, but it clearly is not. My daughter has a new car and she's working in Colorado Springs, we live in Fort Collins, so I offered to bring what she thought was a crack in the windshield to this place near where she works. A nice young lady named Piper informed me that it wasn't really a crack, but dealerships don't always take some of the little stuff off the window of a brand new car. In fact when she was looking at the crack, she said "Is this a brand new car.?" and I told her it was. She refused to charge anything but cleaned up all the little spots that I guess the Dealership should've done and gave me the cleanest windows I've ever seen. I tried to find a way to pay her, but she would not let me. Anyway, this is the kind of service you get at this place and I would take my car there anytime. Thank you, Piper! Having employed thousands of people in my past jobs both in the municipal sector as a mayor and the private sector as a president of an investment banking firm you always want the first person you meet to exemplify the values of a company and Piper did that. I will use this company exclusively when I am in Colorado Springs! steve laffey PS, I was out of there in a few minutes which gave me more time to eat some pizza with my wife and daughter!”
“Both the guys I met at the shop the owner and the guy he hired were super kind and professional. It’s easy to text with the owner, even if he misses your call he gets back with you pretty quick. The product: They did excellent work.”
Auto glass questions, answered
How much does a windshield replacement cost in Colorado Springs?+
Windshield replacement cost depends on your vehicle and features like rain sensors, heating, acoustic glass, or ADAS cameras. Rather than guess, use the instant quote above — enter your license plate or VIN and you’ll see your exact, all-in price (glass, labor, and any required ADAS calibration) in under two minutes.
Does my insurance cover auto glass replacement?+
Often, yes. In Colorado, many comprehensive auto policies cover glass repair and replacement, and some waive your deductible entirely for glass. We work with all major insurers and can file and bill the claim for you, so there’s little to no out-of-pocket cost in most cases.
What is ADAS calibration and do I need it after a windshield replacement?+
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration re-aligns the forward-facing camera and sensors mounted on your windshield after it’s replaced. These run safety features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Most 2018-and-newer vehicles require ADAS calibration after glass replacement, and we are ADAS calibration certified.
Do you offer mobile auto glass service in Colorado Springs?+
Yes. We offer free mobile service across the Colorado Springs area and come to your home or workplace to replace or repair your auto glass. Some ADAS calibrations are performed in-shop to meet manufacturer specs — we’ll let you know when you book.
How long does a windshield replacement take?+
A typical windshield replacement takes about 60 minutes, plus a short safe-drive-away time while the adhesive cures. If your vehicle needs ADAS calibration, plan for additional time so the cameras are aligned correctly before you drive.
Can you repair a rock chip, or do I need a full replacement?+
If the chip is smaller than a dollar bill and not directly in the driver’s line of sight, we can usually repair it in under 30 minutes — and chip repairs carry a lifetime warranty. Longer cracks, or damage in the driver’s view, typically need a full windshield replacement.
Is your auto glass work guaranteed?+
Yes. Carefree stands behind every installation with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and our rock chip repairs include a lifetime warranty as well.
